About Your Instructor:
Ryan Hay is a musician, teacher, and producer committed to helping artists begin and complete meaningful work. He’s released six albums, several EPs, collaborated extensively, and played hundreds of shows, most recently at Treefort Music Fest and Gold Diggers. His teaching approach grows out of years spent writing, producing, and performing, combined with a background in writing and visual art that shapes how he thinks about aesthetics, purpose, and process.
At IO, Ryan teaches Sending Signals and Live Performance. His focus is practical and personal: giving students the tools to create with confidence, develop their own voice, and bring their music to life on stage.
