Free Masterclass with Rinzen (mau5trap)

Event Description:

IO Music Academy is excited to host Rinzen for a special production masterclass on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018. Learn how the recent mau5trap artist broke into the electronic music scene last year and what techniques he employs in the studio to create his personal style of melodic, progressive house and techno. As always, this event is free with RSVP and will feature a Q&A alongside a live Ableton demonstration.

Space is limited, only those with Valid confirmation will be admitted.

About Rinzen:

Rinzen is a new producer out of Los Angeles seeking to create entire worlds with his music. Signed to mau5trap, Rinzen combines cinematic sound design with forward-thinking house and techno production to create something that is downright awe-inspiring.

Rinzen began in January 2017 with an official remix of Giorgio Moroder for Casablanca Records. The song received praise from Moroder himself, who stated: “This is Rinzen's first official release, and I am so honored to be a part of it.” The remix was ultimately picked up by SiriusXM, who would go on to support it on BPM for three consecutive months.

In March of 2017, Rinzen joined deadmau5’s iconic mau5trap imprint with his first original, 'Renegade,’ before following up with his debut EP, Forbidden City, in October. The three-track concept EP marked the first iteration of Rinzen’s true vision — to build entire worlds — and was lauded by Billboard as “a sonic exploration of human depth.” Rinzen further cemented the vision in May of 2018 with his second concept EP, Exoplanet, offering a three-track exploration into planets beyond our solar system.

Rinzen has been selected for Mixmag’s coveted Impact series, as well as been featured in DJ Mag’s Bubblin’ spotlight. Having recently performed alongside Eric Prydz, deadmau5, Matador, Cristoph and more, Rinzen shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
