The story so far...

Kora is an artist project blending diverse sounds and stimulating textures, a place where organic elements and modern means collide. It is home to a traveler on a lengthy voyage - an expedition to inspire and connect with room for one more...

The journey of Montreal producer Kora represents a tale of patience and creativity. The budding producer shared his first piece of a story nearly two years in the making with a splendorous debut outing on Get Physical's Kindisch in 2016. Kora supplied two emotive world-inspired cuts for the release. The record featured 'Nuit d'Afrique', a collaboration with fellow Canadian producer Adrien. It was bestowed the honor of opening VA 'Kindisch Steps VI'. The release also hosted powerhouse tribal production 'Ovo', a track that became a firm favorite on the playa at Burning Man last year. The project garnered early the support of Lee Burridge, Hernan Cattaneo, Acid Pauli, Sasha, Nico Stojan, YokoO and many more.

January 16th, 2017 saw the second installment from the Canadian artist arrive on recently founded NYC label Earthly Delights - a home of boundary-pushing ethnic meets electronic sounds. Kora picked up the mantle, presenting a delectable two tracker in the form of the 'Vayu' EP. The record represents a distinct desert vision from the producer while offering an impressive ensemble of self-created samples, live instrumentation and impeccable sound design. It includes the long-awaited and much-adored 'Fragile', which was a secret weapon in the hands of the DJ elite in months before its release. It came strapped with a remix from Timujin, the head of Burning Man's White Ocean community. The EP won plaudits from the likes of DJ Mag, Juno, and Deep House Amsterdam, while John Digweed's continued support of the title track brought 'Vayu' to new fans around the world.

Kora made a highly anticipated return to Kindisch on March 10th of 2017, providing a chunky, organic collaboration with fellow Canadian Nic Falardeau for the occasion. The track, titled ‘Om Namah’, blends a dreamy atmosphere and a solid, chugging groove. It’s coated with an emotive, original vocal line. It showcases once more a unique, unbridling creation from the artist.

April 10th welcomed the arrival of the genesis piece of the puzzle from the enigmatic producer - the long-awaited ‘Caddo’ EP on LA imprint Sol Selectas Records. It includes the cherished title track, the production that put the project in motion way back in 2015. While the b-side 'Wahiba' came strapped with a lush remix from Anjunadeep and All Day I Dream talent Powel.

Kora's debut remix landed in May of 2017. In collaboration with the Motek Music imprint, Kora put his signature twist to 'Mescal Lane' from Burning Man favourite Miyagi (Einmusika Recordings, Chapter 24 Records). The rework took a linear, stripped back approach. It has a little 'afterhours' flavour and is centered around a slow build with a slight organic touch.
