DJ Bootcamp is a beginner-friendly 4-week course designed to give you the core skills to start DJing with confidence.
You’ll learn where DJs find their music, how to build and organize your library, and how to mix tracks smoothly using Pioneer DJ gear. Whether you’re looking to DJ for fun or take your first steps toward playing gigs, DJ Bootcamp is the perfect place to started.
Looking to take things further? We also offer Spin Class, is 3-month deep dive into all things DJing that includes unlimited studio time in our fully equipped DJ booth and three private lessons. Students who complete DJ Bootcamp are eligible for a 15% discount on Spin Class.

Building Your DJ Library
Where DJs find their music (streaming, downloads, record pools, etc.).
How to organize and manage your music collection for easy access.
Using Rekordbox to prepare and analyze tracks
Understanding DJ Gear
How to navigate Pioneer DJ controllers, with hands-on training using the DDJ-FLX4.
The essential functions of a mixer, jog wheels, faders, and EQs.

*IO Music Academy provides DDJ-FLX4 controllers for use during class. It is recommended, but not mandatory, that students purchase a controller for home practice.
Pricing & Schedule
Classes are 2 hours long, with an optional 30 minutes at the end for extra practice. Use this time to get hands-on with the gear, refine your mixing, or ask your instructor for additional guidance.
